frequently asked questions
where is the studio?
we’re located on the 2nd floor at 2720 frankfort ave. the studio is above carmichael’s and the door to enter the studio is to the left of carmichael’s accessibility entrance.
what classes do you offer?
we offer a range of movement and creative based practices. we believe that healing happens through exploring and learning different paths, and we wanted to create as many pathways as possible for people to enter through. our classes include yoga, meditation, breathwork, qigong, singing, art, and writing. see a full list of descriptions here.
what should i bring?
just yourself, comfortable clothes, and water if you like. we have mats, blocks, and bolsters to share. you're welcome to bring your own mat.
how do i sign up?
book ahead on our schedule page to save your spot, or just drop in. first time? you'll sign a short waiver — online when you book, or on paper at the welcome table.
what if i’m nervous?
that's completely normal. come 10 minutes early and say hi — we'll show you around. you can set up near the door, take breaks whenever you need, and participate in whatever way feels right. nothing is required of you here except to come as you are.
what do classes cost?
all of our weekly classes are donation based. we suggest a range of $10-$30. we believe money should not be a barrier to receiving these practices. if you are unable to contribute financially, please know that you are still welcome.
what do workshops cost?
all of our workshops are available at either a sliding scale or tiered scale payment option based on the practice, length of time, and whether there are any additional costs (like art supplies or cacao). no one will be turned away for lack of funds, so please contact the studio if the suggested price poses any barrier. we’re here to help.
can i teach a class or workshop?
we plan to change our schedule every three to four months to honor the changing rythmns of nature and life. the studio is also available for public workshops, as the space is available. if you’re interested in teaching a weekly class or workshop, submit your application here.
how can i be of service?
as a donation based studio, we rely heavily on support from the community. if you’re interested in supporting the studio, please share more about your interests and skills here.
